Deborah Osborne is an advocate for the law enforcement analyst profession with over 10 years of experience as a crime analyst at the Buffalo Police Department, where she read and analyzed at least 100,000 crime reports. She retired as an Investigative Analyst after 8 years at the US Secret Service where she worked on protective threat analysis and major investigations of financial crimes and cybercrime. She trained analysts and taught this subject at the college level for over six years, authored books/book chapters/articles on the subject and believes strongly that more should be done to integrate crime and intelligence analysis into policing.
